They help a bit.. but I found some A/C's that had an UV light, but the A/C had alot of condensation and that caused so much mold it didn't matter how many UV lights you had... My point is... yes the UV light is a good idea, although keep that A/C balanced and things dry and you should be ok! Hope that helps.... Maurice U/V lights are a popular item in mold prevention.
