Many questions have been coming in to the Mold Manuscript about “Help with avoiding high mold remediation costs”. The good news is… by being in the business for so many years. I have some great money saving ideas for you.
I have heard many folks say they got some surprise fee’s during their mold remediation project. Sometimes they had extra work that needed to be done, outside of their original scope. So below I plan on laying out most processes when it comes to doing a mold remediation. Now this is not set-in-stone. But I want to layout the procedure, so you know what to expect if you choose to hire a professional or do the project yourself. Both are not as difficult as one would expect, just simply need to be prepared and know what is going to happen next.
You will want to do a full mold inspection. Why you ask?
Simply because if you do have a mold problem, you must find the source of the problem. Or you will simply spend money and time fixing it. Then in a few weeks come to find the mold problem is back. This is involves some mold inspecting on your part or hiring a professional. Feel free to check out a more indepth guide of a mold inspection.
After inspecting and hopefully finding your source of the problem, you will now want to make a scope of work for the project.
The scope of work, is basically a plan for your mold project. It doesn’t need to be crazy or in depth. But you will want it as a guide when you removing your mold problem. This involves the mold remediation guidelines I have created for professionals. Feel free to use the mold removal guidelines.
In this step is where I recommend the products to use. These products are basically what I recommend to mold professionals and I will explain why. You will notice two products I highly recommend, Molderizer and Safe Shield. For one… I helped create the formula with the manufacturer. Simply because I couldn’t find anything out in the market which was non-toxic and could kill mold. Their was a need… at first it was my own.
But then mold companies were asking for a solution to kill and prevent mold. So I couldn’t resist, but to release it to mold professionals. And just recently to the public after going through strenuous testing.
Below is the process I recommend for removing mold, including any materials you may need. Not all materials are mandatory, just recommended as per the guidelines. Of course, this all depends on the severity of your mold problem.
Depending on the damage, sometimes just a simple spray down with Molderizer and Safe Shield should be fine for most mold problems. If the problem has spread, below is the procedure you would want to look into.
By following this process, you should have a better handle on your mold problem. Now remember… not all the solutions are manditory, but they do make the process a heck of a lot more efficient and secure. By using the correct products you are increasing the chances of your mold problem being out of your life forever.
